the 23rd thing

WOW,that was the best journey I have ever been in the world of webs and internet , it is a huge world, with all the non imaginable webs that I have discovered, that I won't if it is me browsing the web and found places by chance or accidently, whcih won't stay in my mind unless I have saved it in my favourites, and if the computer formatted for any reason I will lose them and never managed to find them again. this might need to go through it every now and then to remember all these things , one thing is making it harder as we can't browse the net anymore on library computers generic log-in , and the blocking of so many palces, while doing this exercise , making it more frustrating , though it was enjoyable , hope it will stay accessible even after this learning finish , so we can have another go whenever we can, inspite of finishing all this training at home , still it is not always possible to have enough time to do it, but it is doable at home than in the library.
Here I would like to thank all the people involved in this learning project and appreciate all the effort and work done to achieve such an excellent exercise. well done.

Week 9 #22 - ebooks

This is interesting to use, and to know that they are available from libraries is another factor . to hire it and return it is really useful , give more oppurtunities to listen to more titles than what is physically available in libraries. many users will reach a point that they have listened to most of the titles asking for more, here they can download and listen , this the new generation way of reading I will say. Just like music what ever you want is handy and can be downloaded to be right there in your hands. what I have surprised to see is that it is not only reading fiction books while driving or housebound or even sight impaired it is for learning as well like the first title that tract me was about surgery or medicine , Project Gutenburg is very good , search can be done with in many categories top 100 titles or top 100 authors then time controlled like for yesterday , last week or even last month.

week 9 #21 - podcasts

Here where we can listen to a variety of books on line , some as medicine, which was surprising for me to know that it is not only books on tape sort of thing , it is not quite simple to try it as I have to wait for the downloading that's take while to finish , but any way I now know that there is such a thing online , and at the same time i have known from the Lianza conference, that in Wellington Central Library , they are doing it to their customers and they can issue t ot them in a system whcih the work it out in a way , I feel jealous now about this, but oh well one day we will do that too, ,cross fingurs
