#20 week 9 -YouTube - I love YouTube

Now this is my best part, everyday after checking my email I will have a go in you tube and can sit for hours and hours going from on video to another, i have learnt how to make haloumi cheese form one videos which was a very easy Way to do and never fail till now, I'm still following the same procedure.
The minute I heard Pavarotti died I opened his famous Nessun Dorma video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VATmgtmR5o4 and put it on loud and made everyone to listen to it, that was before youtube blocked in the library computers which really upset me ,

I always want to add our very very popular preschoolers story time video on to it , but it might need to many approvals to do it , so I gave up.

#19 week 8 Discovering web2.0 toooooooools

You may say how come tools has many o's in it , that's not many the ":short list" has heeps and heeps of those places as winners links or tools used out of hundreds of others, many are free, I have tried 2 of those one called hairmixer when you can play with it and try to make a famous male star(Tom Cruise) wearing the hair and dress of female star(Paris Hilton) as the one above!!!!! that was fun, and a booky one LULU.com , where you can see the best books in the last week or last month or year , how to publish and lots of other apps.

That was really good discovery that I have heard before but never tried to use. now I can keep some of the documents online, and if it is accessed by others will be good to be checked or edited by others if it is a group work or organisation project , although how much it is secure not sure yet any way, I did the challenge as well , it was cool to find out how to finish it ....

I have opened an account and used zoho writer to write this document trying some of the apps they are much like ms word but with lots of options more handy that makes you wanting to use them , and then post it to my blogas follows

#17 Week 7

I have been on these sites before this exercise through my chidren face book and others I sort of enjoyed it with them to look at their photos with friends , the good thing they have met relatives form overseas through this and they start chatting and exchange news with them , to this limit it is really good to use, but as a mother I still Have my concerns about this , like it might be used in another way and been used for other purposes, easily you will use the photo for I don't know what devilish purpose, I can see them accecing it everyday , it is part of their social life , but what then!!!!!

#16 Week 6 - On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0

I read three of these articles and go fast through the other two. this statement from the first article Away From Icebergs : "We need to focus our efforts not on teaching research skills but on eliminating the barriers that exist between patrons and the information they need, so they can spend as little time as possible wrestling with lousy search interfaces and as much time as possible actually reading and learning. " is really true ,It is time to focus on this, the other one "We have to be a bit more humble in the current environment, and find new ways to bring our services to patrons rather than insisting that they come to us—whether physically or virtually." is another one which shows that we need to look to tools and ways on how to achieve it.

The last article was OH no, there will be soonish may be more things to learn as we are developing new things every mmmmsec, in his very fast developing time

#15 Week 6 Getting not-so-technical with Technorati

I visited this technorati and found out that's another way to find others view about certain topic, i have seen this one which was an example

i did the exercise by trying searching in three differnet ways and can see the difference which I'm not sure how to explain, but the main point I can recall is using the directory is more direct and give option of screen sort of way to display,
To me that was not very intersting thing to do and could be only good for personel interest

#14 week 6 - Delicious, very delicious

I like this one too, I wish I have more time to play around with but it is time to finish web2.0 . I chose the first tag with 33 of them and chose the first one which lead to another ended by having a big laugh about "http://www.danhanna.com/aging_project/p.html"> that's really determined man to shoot photos for himself everyday same time same position , incredible.

Wayfraying is another useful way to find personal or organisation places on maps and may be to printed to be used as locations identifier for a business. Plus that's good for a team day game or activity to be like a treasure map to find, which include walkways or places to spot. Can be used as routs for walking I personally might use it with the Workplace Challenge competition. Still I'm not sure if this can go public is it safe enough not to be used by whoever there who wants to interfere or Can they interfere to add silly things or places . I don't know!!!!!I have tried to create an account using the learning log in but too bad , has been taken and need to use my own , thank you very much for now.

that's scary and incredible at the same time, good to get an naswer about a general topic that won't effect human bieng, like a gardening, diy, etc, but to ask a question about health problems and violla you get the answer to your sickness , O'OH
where are we getting with this internet, no need to a librarian to check answers, a doctor to heal, parent to advise , noway that is scaryyyyyy!!!!!

Week 5 #13 - playing with pbwiki

Now from that you can see that I have enjopyed this one too, it took me to many places and got sidetracked to see other application which was really good to know about, I still feel that there are heeps webs to know about that I need to go through if time allows, I still have a question now, how this will help me in my job here in the library , and how it helps to give good customer service, if they don't ask ; would I have to introduce them to or what?????

Week 5 No 12 - Library success

(This wiki was created to be a one-stop shop for great ideas and information for all types of librarians. All over the world, librarians are developing successful programs ........)That's how the page started, again it is about sharing information or way and skills use to achieve what is called here success, it is good to check this for peolple working in libraries as it will show experiences developed in practical work not only theories and seminars , i personally like this way of learning ( on hand way), and it all around the world ideas

Wiki wiki wiki - No 12

OK , surprise, surprise, surprise, wiki is fast that is good, but to know wikipedia - that excellent place to check info from or find more info about is only edited by who ever would like to add his or her discovery or opinion, that is bad, could be good in a way that someone knowledge has been shared with others, BUT what if it is not right!!!!! IO have gone through the other wikis as examples , and I loved the book lovers Wiki, that's is a very good use of wiki , I have only read the first section yet(5 star reviews) need more time to go through the rest, I enjoyed people thoughts and reviews on some of the books to add more to my reading list!

No11 Week 4

While doing those exercises I have found out that this is a good way to share photos with friends and relatives living overseas , it is easier than emailing them, may be , still not sure if this will be more private, and again I have to ask other friends in the photos if they don't mind that, it looks like there are more applications that looks like bebo , facebook and flicker to add images and share, it might take me personally time to get to use to do such thing,any way now I know there is such an easy way to do than to be attached in email

Bubbler

That's worked very well as I mananged this time to create a bubbler thinggy added some notes on the bubbles . I chosed the image from web search, added the bubbles and VOILA! I hope everytime I try something will be that easy or at least clear to follow instructions

Click on and you will see what I missed! I didn't get the ride , neither me nor my sister, we 're too old to have a ride, and see the whole city from the top not only photos, but oh well we missed it, hope will try to have one next time.

while exercising on Flicker I went through so many paths that I can use for images and ideas that I can share with others specially overseas ones. I'm not sure yet if I would know when to use it to help customers here in the library or how, but I knew now there's such thing to use.
